Koivumäki Kartano serves refined experiences from pure Finnish natural ingredients to your plate. You can enjoy them in the most beautiful manor milieu in Savo, surrounded by the countryside and the peace of the past.
The manor is open according to events and by order.
Restaurant
Restaurant is open throughout the year for groups pre-ordered and on Finnish holidays and special days, for example the first of May, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and other theme days.
Table reservation needed everyday. In low season group size on weekdays is 5 people and on weekends 20 people.
Summer Lunch is served from Monday to Friday at 11 am to 2 pm from June to August.
Christmas Lunch is served Monday to Friday at 11 am to 2 pm from Novemer to December

A Part of History
The Manor’s history starts from the 18th century when there was a general parcelling of the land.
A Businessman Gustaf Emmanuel Ranin bought the manor on a compulsory auction in 1869. Ranin moved to Koivumäki manor with his five children. Ranin’s wife Floora Katariina had died just before.
In 1907 Ranin’s daughter Alma Biese decided to build the main building for her own family. The modern Art noveau styled building was designed by architect Waldemar Aspelin. We still have all of the 18 original tiled stoves, one in each room.
The manor is still owned by Ranin’s family. Kirsti Dunkel is now the fifth lady of the house. Ranin’s family owns as well an old liquor distillery called Lignell & Piispanen in Kuopio.
